More on bras and breasts

As discussed at length here, I'm a man who has developed breasts as a result of Finasteride treatment for an enlarged prostate.
My breasts are quite modestly sized, but are still growing. They are large enough to be very noticeable to me when going up and down stairs - they wobble enough to make me very uncomfortable!
The solution to this is wearing a bra. Compression vests are horrible things that do very little except make me sweat. Bras are just an item of clothing - but they carry a lot of sexual baggage.
Bras are made for, and sold to women, they are essential for almost all women, but also for some men.

There three main types of bra:
(1) Sports Bras which are designed to limit breast tissue movement and can be quite restrictive, but are designed to be comfortable. They can have underwires or not
(2) Wireless bras don't have any support wires, and give support to the breasts from a firm band around the ribcage - a lot firmer and tighter than you might expect. The cups hold the breasts and can be anything between 'full coverage' to very minimalist. The cups are held against the chest with straps over the shoulders. (3) Wired bras have a pair of wires that encircle the lower part and side of the breast tissue the purpose being to support and separate the breasts. Again the bra needs to be held firmly against the ribcage.

If bras aren't held firmly then they will ride up with arm movements and become uncomfortable - this leads to surreptitiously tugging on the bra to get it back into place!

Many bras have padding. This serves a number of purposes including hiding nipples, increasing size , balancing out asymmetric breasts (which are extremely common), and boosting confidence. Another advantage of padding is that it protects sensitive tissue from the outside world - no more rubbing on clothes

A badly fitted bra can be extremely uncomfortable to wear, and I think this is where wired bras get their bad reputation from.
I find wired, lightly padded, bras by far the best compromise for my situation and body shape.
